I took Fiona to Durham Cathedral and then met some mates from school, who had different accents to Geordies. Aussies and all anglophile tourists are interested in that kind of stuff when they come to Britain, how there are different accents and attitudes everywhere. It cost us 20 quid in all. A few more quid took us to Edinburgh (and a different country) for the day. To go on some historical and cultural trip in Australia you are looking at thousands of pounds to go see the aboriginals (cos they are the only people that are different and with some history). That is what I mean by varied. The NHS is free. Medicare (Australian equivalent) is not and if you want decent healthcare you have to go private. Get private healthcare if you are not happy with the NHS. I can't believe I am sticking up for Britain but you are slag it off constantly. I think I am actually more patriotic than you Pike. This thread is a pile of crap. At what point do the people in the country have a right to say that they now are the 'residents' and that nobody else is allowed in?
