Interested to see what happens with Colo - if he is going we need to move quick to get a replacement. I think we could do with a midfielder too, we've struggled without Ben Arfa, Cabaye and Tiote (when out of action)

Rumours are Moussa Sissoko (centre-mid) from Toulouse, and a foreign-based CB, 2 IF Colo leaves, but it's a big IF - his wife is ill and has moved back to Argentina, hence why he wants to go back home. To be honest can't really begrudge him wanting to go back to his home-town club (where his father works) to be with his family.

The thing is, this San Lorenzo team cannot afford to buy him, so Ashley will have to pay off his contract. Cannot really see him doing that tbh.

Would have been a decent signing. However, I think the fact that he has chosen QPR, the team at the bottom of the league for nothing but money reasons says a lot about him, so it looks like we've dodged a bullet. And when QPR go down they lose him for free. That's terrible business sense. In the end I'm glad we didn't pander to his financial needs. The last time we did that for a striker was when we signed Michael Owen and look how that turned out.

It's not like he is the ONLY striker we are looking at, there's 2 or 3 others that have been mentioned. So we missed out on one transfer target, big deal.

You keep on commenting on speculation about our players leaving. As it stands as far as I'm aware, unless I've missed something, only Ba has left.

Krul won't leave. All Ben Arfa said was he wants to play for his hometown club at some point. Nowhere is it mentioned that they actually want to sign him. And i'm not even sure he'd get in their team anyway. Santon won't leave either. Colo might, but like i've already said, can't begrudge him wanting to go home. He's a good player, but there are other good players around who can replace him. I reckon we'll sign 2, 3, maybe even 4 first team players this window.

which other good players have you, that could replace colo? i think he's been a great player for your lot.
