The formidable and quite simply brilliant Gatecrasher Classics is going to be at Discotheque Saturday 28th april. This has to be one of the best Classics line-ups fielded anywhere yet!
Not content with one headliner we have put together a double headliner bill that will surely send any clubber in a spin of delighted frenzy.

First up is the wicked Dutch duo SIGNUM who have been setting the dance floors of the world on fire ever since their DJ'in debut in 2001 (ironically it was for Gatecrasher at The Republic, Sheffield) . Signum's sound of Trance, Techno, Tech-Trance, and Progressive have won many admirers up & down the World. Equally adept behind the decks as they are in their studios they have been responsible for countless productions and remixes many of which remain staples in the DJ boxes (and CD wallets!) of the the world's elite DJs. Long time friends of a huge mutual admiration for each other SIGNUM and Gatecrasher are a match made in heaven and this Classics set will only reinforce their dominance on the scene….do not miss.

If that wasn't enough to whet you appetite for a damn good party then let us present to you Guy Ornaldel! This man has been an integral part of the UK and international dance community since the mid 90's as a DJ, a head of one of the world's premier DJ agencies, promoter and compiler and some seriously slick dance compilations. To say that he flies the flag of the UK's dance scene up high on his many many jaunts overseas (Japan, Oz, Europe, America's….) is a bit of an understatement. The common thread is his longstanding great understanding and love for the Gatecrasher sound through his many sets at Gatecrasher, Blessed at Republic, Steem at Bed and of course the unforgettable Summer Sound System festivals. A true friend of the club, a champion of the scene and one hell of a DJ to boot. See where we're going when we say this is going to be one hell of a party?!

Book ending the night are two of Gatecrasher's super resident acts.

Firstly Discotheque residents Riley and Durrant need to introductions. They are the faces and voices (through their superb Galaxy networked show) of the current electro / tech / trance sound that is sweeping the best dance floors the world over and they know our crowd the best. Welcome home guys!

Stevie G is the prince in making for Gatecrasher….rising through the ranks as a clubber to getting behind those hallowed decks in front of the dance floor he once and still worships is no mean feat. Come and see why we rate him this highly!

Downstairs we let our favourite party makers from the 4 clubbers collective loose on the crowds! The atmosphere when they host this room never fails to surprise us and their motley crew of DJs always come up with the good….house, breaks, techno and a smattering of ironic 80's pop….beware though…once you're hooked you may never leave this room!

It's quite a local cliquey board that we're, as the ex-promise community, are trying to fund and keep running. we don't have a problem with adverts but sometimes events sections can be spammed to death - especially by bigger nights that have many different brands running in different cities.

You've contributed nothing but an advert, so I'd beg to differ.

Granted it is an ad...but I was informed of a few message boards that this could be of interest to? This was one of them....

French William....you used to be on the Bed message board years ago? Or did you use to go to Bed a quite a bit...your user name sound familiar. Anyhows...greetings from Leeds.

    Yeah i remember you!

I never really posted on that board but was reading all the time.

Promoted there for a few years...left before it closed. I only live around the corner from it and it breaks my heart how they have demolished it but kept only the shell of the front...apparently its gonna be a kwik save / tesco type place!

Paul, I found this and thought of you...

"I'm worried I'm turning into a Shoreditch gimp

    Do you listen to electro?

Do you read Vice Magazine (and not think it's just a collection of adverts and utter bullshit)?

Do you sometimes take irony a little too far?

Did you know about Bape before Pharrell Williams?

Do you use the terms 'wack' and 'dope' in a very middle class way?

Do you long to live in Hackney (so long as its in a warehouse loft away from poor people)?

Do you think 'Grindie' is a music genre?

Have you ever taken a photo of stencil graffiti and/or tried to copy Banksy?

    Do you like Larry Clark?

Do you own skinny jeans and/or chuck taylors?

Do you have thick framed vintage glasses?

Do you know what the Cobra Snake is?

Have you been to the Old Blue Last?

Is watching the Klaxons like standing with your friends and looking in a mirror?

If you answered 'Yes' to a lot of these, you should probably join us other 'Nathans' before it's no longer underground."

    I've lived there a month.

It will be at least another month before I answer yes to most of those questions
