Spiderman 3 Alreet film lovers, Viewing this at work tonight (get in!) so will report back later with a little review...
I'm a Projectionist mate so I have to view it first then we stick a staff show on when we know the print is sound. Is it the Silverlink your talking about? If so we might be organising a staff show later so get your Bro inlaw on the case!
Yeah I could if I had some porn on film. You could splice anything into a film like, despite all the technology film handling is still the same as it is in Fight Club. People always ask that question when I tell them what I do. So then, Spiderman 3. Don't want to put people off as it's well worth a watch but it just didn't quite do it for me, and I really enjoyed Spiderman and proper loved Spiderman 2. My main criticism would be the inclusion of Venom. I personally think they could have just stuck with New Goblin/Sandman. 3 villans feels a bit like overkill, they could have just left Venom out and saved him for the inevitable Spiderman 4. He just feels a bit tacked on. I won't say any more as don't want to spoil it for anyone, so once everyone has seen it we can discuss it properly. I'd give it a 7/10 but still recommend it as it's the first proper big budget summer popcorn movie of the year, and every dollar of it's £250 million budget is up on the screen.
Thanks Again Scott for all these exclusive Screenings Totally Agree that Venom could have been left out and yes it did feel like he was "tacked on" and was definite overkill. I sussed last night about Venom in Spidey 4 and how they will do it I enjoyed the movie and it works well i think with the other two movies. Few funny bits which i wasnt expecting and I was giggling to myself when Peter Parker and MJ were belting on about "getting back on the Horse" same 7/10
whats the craic with peter parker being in the venom costume, venom isn't peter parker in the comics.
That wasn't Venom was it.. I thought Venom was only fully Venom when taking over a person.. Might be wrong tho.. As for the movie.. amazing.. Visual effects were stunning and I now understand how they said 3 years ago this movie couldn't have been made.. the sheer rendering required for the sandman must have been immense. Also liked the quirky bits in there too. Don't think there will be a fourth movie tho.. Rumour has it the director will not sign for it.. and tbh.. its wrapped up pretty nicely. No new villians.. no major twists at the end.. You could argue the sandman is still out there.. but thats about it.. Overal.. damn good movie. imo.
He was never in a "Venom costume" he was in the "Alien costume". When he manages to get rid of it, it takes some of Spiderman with it and ends up on Eddie Brock, mixes with his hatred for Spiderman and Eddie becomes Venom
Sony have already announced that with or without Raimi, Maguire and Dunst, they are going to move forward Spiderman 4, 5, and 6. I say get rid of them all. Maguire looks bored of the part, Dunst was a horrific choice for MJ to begin with, and even Raimi (one of my favourite Directors) seems like he's painting by numbers. Personally I think they should take maybe 3 or 4 years out then recast and reset the franchise. Also think it could prove a good idea to hire a different Director for each film, much like Warner Brothers have done with the Harry Potter films. It'll give a bit more variety and inject a bit of fresh creativity into the franchise. My choice of Directors would probably be: Spiderman 4: Edgar Wright. Spiderman 5: Guillermo del Toro. Spiderman 6: Alfonso Cuarón. But it's never gonna happen.
