Why the fuck would you enoy being covered in other peoples sweat? Some of you need to lay off the cowies and hard dance and have a word with yourself
depends what your into though, it's only the best line up if your into Hard Dance, otherwise for anyone else its a shit line up.
Different strokes for different folks Sunnies is quite like that sweat dripping from the ceiling personally i dont like it but it does take you back to the older raves
There was something for most people Trance, Techno, Phsy Trance, House etc a pretty decent mixed night
they're may have been something for everytone but the line up was gash if your not into Hard Dance. Fact
Now I don't really understand this argument. It's like saying the line up for Shindig is gash if you're not into house or prog. Which may be true, but is utterly redundant. Everyone know's it is predominantly a hard dance event, so why moan when that's what you get?
There is dripping with sweat and a venue illegaly having the the heating turned on and no cold water other 250ml £2.50 bottles. Lets not try to turn the heat into a selling point when it was really dangerous, totaly stopped poeple dancing in the top room and enjoying the music.
Maybe thats why there was a house , trance and techno warm up downstairs in gossip which ended up playing from 6pm till 1am , i.e something for everyone , with the hard dance upstairs , oh and the entrance to the warm up hosted by my good friends and very talented local dj's Michael Lindsay , Chris Hutchinson , Dan Hawkins , James Wilson , Static etc was all free !!!! Chill out downstairs , rave it up upstairs !!! People were free to come and go from one to the other as they pleased ( as long as they retained their tickets of course ) untill the doorman decided to be cunts come 1am because upstairs was so packed !!!
i'm not moaning, i didnt go and couldnt really give a monkey's...however it never used to predominantly be a hard dance event....thats why i used to go cos of all the other stuff and there was so much for everyone else. This latest event wasnt...and not my cup of tea....thats all i was saying. So aye the line up may have been mint if you like that sort of thing but it's not a great line up for anyone else
i'm not a personal fan of hard dance/hard house - i'm more a trance fan - no bones about that - but i find i like the atmosphere and the people that go. All the other events have had different 2nd rooms with alternative music to the 'harder' main room - only this 1 with the last minute change of venue had everything had to be changed around and dj's shuffled about.
detox ran for 4-5 years before it moved to castles logistically / organisationally the worst 2 events i have been involved in are the garden of eden and back to relaity arts ones so tbh i know where I would rather run events ps: did you get my text regarding the requirement of our soundsystem at the weekend?
I can remember foundation and recently digital had wot i call "raining from the celling" yeah it's fuckin vile but there's nothing you can do about it
a line up with chris littlewood, fun size jonny, james smith, kai foyen, john 00 fleming and adam lab 4 on is not a shit lineup that is a FACT
How can you say the lineup was gash when 8 of the top hard dance djs were playing? FACT Maybe you should stick to talking about seals miraculously beached on the banks of Dunston
it's all the usual detox suspects springing to it's defence - it seems like a loosing battle on here sometimes. i'm off for lunch
