    Yep I believe so, they're popular with people who record on the move, documentary makers that sort of thing. People getting interviewed in the street for radio news etc

    A lot of music at Radio stations was stored on minidisc long before they came public, could still be at a lot of places too.

    CD's are a wonderful format, now they are nearly 30 years old and burners cost 10 quid and media costs less than 10p.

    .... something that you've only been able to do as a consumer (realistically) in the past 5-6 years.

    Tapes hit the market, and pretty soon after you could put your own music on them.

    plus Vinyl is only as good as the person pressing it

    i've got some horrific pressings , tapes would sound much better

    tapes were great, small, compaq, recordable. admittedly yes, they have no place in the modern world now, but so will CDs soon

    dats are still being used yes but they are digital audio tapes very different from a cassette tape.
