I know in Greece you need a work permit - my family are all out there and the Greek authorities have clamped down on Brits working there

You could contact the local assembly for that country or even ours ‘if that’s makes sense’

Another tip: use the countries own google homepage, ie for australia its www.google.com.au, and select pages from australia.

And check the dept of immigrations webpage for the particular country. For Europe your pretty much free do come and go as you please, but you do need to register to work and for housing permits etc.

thats the best way to do it ,book a club 18-30 cheap as holiday for 2 weeks then you have 2 weeks to find a job and have at least got accomodation for that time !
also if you do land a job try get paid each night as the spanish and greeks have a knack of not paying up the full amount at the end of the week.
greece (crete) is a piece of piss getting work, when we started we used to go out in apr and by may we would be working every day for €40 a night inc accomidation and drink.

ya gotta make sure ya get paid as well when your over there, or have plenty of emergency cash to come back over then its a doddle.

and yes all of the dodgey bar's have dodgey bosses who equally dont want to pay you properly

So you should have no problems getting a job, claiming benefits from their government as well as being housed before any of their fellow countrymen
