    Nice pubs

Hi, really quick question. Can anyone recommend a nice pub for food locally. Don't mind it being a bit of a drive

i like the Badger in Ponteland or the Falcons Nest (or is it Rest?) in Gosforth just off the big roundabout off the A1

same chain, lovely food and cracking selection of sauces, pickles etc

    Good choice.

Try The Tone Inn further up the A68 near birtley, only open on sundays though, legendary carvery.

The Wellington at Stocksfield serves up some canny grub as well, nice beer garden too.

You've either got to get to Shiremoor House Farm as soon as it opens, or go at about 4.30pm. Absolutely no chance of getting in between 1pm and 3pm.
