Re: coping on ure own? i would have thought you'd had time to get used to not having a mum by now, it's been a while since she left you in a carrier outside greggs isn't it?
Re: coping on ure own? i know how to use the washer and hat just its a complete ball ache when you forget to put the powder in the draw thingy and only realise once youve taken the fuckers out of the dryer
washers? complicated? there's only 2 things to remember - select wash type, powder in Living alone is great - you wouldn't want to go back home
you could always buy new clothes every week and chuck the dirty ones away. laundrettes do service washes.... take all your stuff in a bag, chuck em a few quid, get it all back washed and dried.
which brings me to the FUNNIEST Viz Top Tip Ever : "Dirty Clothes? Why not take them to Oxam. The kindly old ladies will wash and iron them and then u can buy them back for 10p - cheaper than washing them yourself!"
Yet again, it astounds me how utterly incapable so many people are of looking after themselves. Does it never occur to you to help your mum at all?
My mam's in hospital at the moment and I'm amazed at the number of people who've assumed I'm automatically eating takeaways and getting someone else in to do the washing.. It's not rocket science!! I'm 22 for fucks sake I'm perfectly capable of washing and ironing and anyone who isn't seriously needs to have a word.
Totally, if you put things on a hanger straight out the tumble dryer theres not much need for an iron. Unless its some crazy fabric of course.
I take my shirts to the dry cleaners just to avoid doing this. Everything else doesn't really need ironing.
