Has anyone else had any difficulty going online with there PS3? I got a 20MB broadband line fitted last week but have since not been able to go online with it! I even checked the Sony website for help but it was useless.

any error messages on the PS3? u got the modem plugged straight into the PS3?

I have mate yes, its hardwired via ethernet straight in the back of the PS3, i've tried adjusting the settings but had no luck

Have just tried now and I've had no problems at all getting online both wired & wireless- a mate of mine had issues but the firmware update sorted it.

I've got the latest firmware update installed mate, it's strange like, i would of thought it would of been plug in & play just like the 360! I'm a bit dissapointed to be honest, i'll keep trying though

mine just worked straight away - do you need to register it with your router??

Mine is a an ethernet connection straight in the back of me P.C mate, not a wirless connection. It's got me heed done in ye nah:bang:

might mean you have to set up your pc's firewall for it then mate -

how would i go about doing that like mate? I'm using NOD32 anti-virus at the moment

Try plugging it into the modem.

It's sorted now any way, i had to adjust me firewall setting's, cheers anyway people

My PS3 goes nowhere near my PC, so didnt have to fuck around with firewalls etc...
