What headphones do you use? I use Behringer hpx2000. Had them for three years and still work great!! I'm thinking about getting a new pair with better sound isolation to save my ears!!
Ha ha! No luckily I don't! I'm thinking of getting a pair of Sony MDRV500's, they'll probably fit my head better!
Ive had them all and Pioneers are the best! Those Sennhieser ones are really uncomfortable and arent durable at all.
i found with them you have to take them off between mixing or they cook the back of your neck the 25sp's on the other hand have been perfect for me for about 10 years now
They look pretty mint actually! Gona have a wander round some stores in Toon to see if I can test em out
MDRV700's for me - they're ancient, held together with cable ties and glue but i love the way they enclose the ear it's very much personal choice - i like the sound the hd25's produce - but i always feel like i'm going to break them
yep they're class headgear like mine havent snapped (yet) but even if they do i'll get another pair of the same. although those technics one carson's got are canny sexy
why is everyone concerned about snapping or breaking them? they are probably the most bomb proof headphones available - at the demo i got of my first set, the lad bent the strap the opposite way to the way it should be and it didn't snap, and the cables are made of steel! My first set are still working (need a cable) and I used (thrashed) them for 7 years none stop The set I'm using now I've had for 3 years and only bought them as I was having difficulty finding a new cable lol! get some 25sp's and buy them once - just replace the cable and foam pads every blue moon and you'll be gravy
Because they arent cheap maybe? They dont have rotating cups and are limited to the positions you can rest or put them in imo. When your having a good mix for hours comfort is important and i personally dont find them comfortable at all. The sound is absolutely brillaint though. I think a new design with features like the ones found on the sony's and pioneers would convince me to choose them over the rest.
aah.. you mean the straight 25's - the sp's are bomb proof they just released a new model of the 25's http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/page/shop/flypage/product_id/1916 the sound is great on senny's
but howay - even with the sony's the sound is spot on and its functionality is flawless, unless you snap them of course
HD25's are the most durable out of the lot. Even if you do break them then you can replace any part. Mine have snapped at the top of one of the headbands but only cos i sat on them with my massive arse. I hate using Sonys, they break so easily.
they are they're too loose and dont sit on your head very well (well my head anyway) so you lose the isolation which are the main point in buying top range headphones.
