    ages ago mate, from last october til august i was hitting the gym 5 times a week!

    took a bit of a hit when i went to Japan, but been getting back on it gradually, settling in witj new job etc so only gyming about 3 or 4 times a week at the min

    dose up on some creatine then start to have a promax shake before ya session and then after, then have another later on, its good stuff, loaded with good protein and supplements inluding 5g of creatine per shake. ive got plenty in the house but i aint been using it for a while due to pure laziness. was working well tho, felt much stronger while doing the reps

    Kre-alkaline is definatly better to take than the normal creatine. It enters your system quicker and there's no need to load up on kre-alkaline which puts less stress on your liver.

    Protein is definatly a vital substance in your diet but is usless without carbohydrates as you need this to break down the protein and digest it into your system in the most efficient way! I use a protein/carb drink BEFORE i go to the gym as this gives me a massive energy boost. A lot of people take it after training but i disagree as if your having your tea or supper after training this is a better protein/carb source than any drink (if you eat the right foods that is!!

    Unfortunly all this information is usless to me at the mo as i haven't been to the gym for 3 month, but am hoping to be back pretty soon!

    it depends how long it will be between putting down your weights and then eating your tea really. leave it too long and you are going to miss the best time to take in carbs to spike insulin levels at a time when your muscles are starved of glycogen

    personally i do both, but i prefer a meal before the gym.

    just bought me usual 5lb's of Dymatise whey isolate today. but i think its altering my state of mind, psychologically, rather than actually fuelling muscle :king:

    or instead of all this shake malarky, invest in a family pack of smartprice tuna, works a treat :up:
