    Mixer Repair

Anyone know any decent places to get a mixer repaired? if it is repairable.
The thing is the left speaker plays out normal and you can barely hear the right speaker :S i heard static clicking coming through the speakers earlier the same day. Think there must hav been some sort of surge from my pc through the line-in cable?! is that possible?

Oh btw its a Pioneer DJM400 :dunce:

aitken electronics on high bridge street might have a look at it for you

have you tried turning it off then back on? might just need reseting? mixers sometimes get funny if they're left on for long periods of time

do you have decks or cds or line-in running through it when you get the problem, or is it all the time regardless?

are you sure its the mixer and not the amp its going to? try turning that on and off as well

    Is it a Vestax mixer?

i've tried a diff mixer with the same setup n it works perfect so its not the connections or amp. the line in socket in the back of my pc no longer works tho :S me thinks somethings gone wrong and it involves the mixer. Hope it is repairable tho don't need to be forkin out for another.
    Cheers for the replies lads!

I'm still using it with the standard leads but had them digitally connected to me 800 & managed to somehow fall onto the back of the lead & snap it clean off with the end stuck in the CDJ :( Need to get it out & get a new lead & we'll be rocking again. :D

It says on the Pioneer website it doesnt deal with DJ stuff but I rang them & they said just bring it over nd we'll sort it out. Also sure that Nick Adams (Bigger Than Jesus) got his sorted there too. I also need a button fixed on me mixer :(

if you go to a geniuine pioneer approved repairer, they'll rip your eyes out - a locally recommended AV engineer will do an equally nice job, cheaper
