gutted you guys are leaving. understandable though. i put on my first myst there last friday and i dont recon there was a single person who walked in off the street. i thought people just went to cosmic on a friday but they dont seem to. they should sort out a website like digitals and have all the nights help each other to help the turnouts.

This is no disrespect to JNR:G, but you've deprived yourself of some quality nights there mate tbh, if that's all you went to.

I've been to other nights there but not since JNR:G I dont think.

The Cosmic are in a brilliant financial position, theres are loads of budding DJ's/promoters who want stick on their own nights yet Newcastle has no Venues. For Habit leaving theres probably another 5 nights wanting it's date, although it is a shame the Ballrooms couldn't negotiate with the Habit lads being one of their longest standing nights since the refurb, from a business point a view they really dont need to? there'll simply be other nights itching to get in.

The new nights will put up with the technical problems as well as they are just chuffed to be doing a club night.

It not unresonable to expect things to work in a venue and have some one onhand to sort any problems to arise setting up a night.

Losing habit is losing an experienced promting team who have help raise the profile of the club. Seems stupid to just replace it with a copycat night without the profile.

That's true mate, but a venue should work with promoters to make both the night and venue grow in stature and reputation, not just sack em off for new nights to come in. fair enough if a night goes stale but habit is associated with cosmic and i recon they should have worked something out to keep the night there. some shit student night like zap'll worm their way in and that just ruins everything about going out on the weekend. btw have the organisers of digital got no respect for themselves? zap on a friday? having a laugh. the sick thing is that it'll be rammed too.

Couldn't agree more. You should absolutely expect the technical back-up of a venue, especially if they're charging an ott higher fee.
