a drug cure to aids is gonna be really hard to get out, the pharmaceutical companies make way too much money treating aids to consider the one off payment curing option imo
I dont know who's worse. the bloke that took the time out to create that pile of shite or you for posting it.
There are cases of African prostitutes whose body has rid itself of AIDs - they are the people they should be looking for towards a vaccine!
If this seemingly shocks you - you should look into the price of antibiotics etc and the sheer amount the NHS dispenses. A ratio of patients against mass makes 25k look fuck all
it's roche who produces avastin. and 25K is the price of it, i thought with your depth of knowledge in the field you would of known. and i'm just saying that, bearing in mind that all it's doing is prolonging life, is sticking a price tag on what precious time there IS left. i really dont see the point in it. in that extra time i'd be guilty that i was playing false gods.
i'm guessing you mean 25k per course of treatment? is treatment indefinite? i know it's in fortnightly doses, but is it 25k irrespective of whether you receive one or twenty? roche aren't somebody i know a lot about to be honest, but given that they're not one of the three large producers (gsk, astrazeneca, pfizer), that's even more reason why they need to recouperate costs. i'm not trying to be high and mighty or get on any form of high horse here, just trying to give a pharmacological point of view to balance out all the conspiracy theorists.
yeah, i know your providing the argument from the Pharm Coop's, and dont hold grudge (you infadel!!) however i just think it's a proper middle class drug. a vast majority can't afford it. and for little outcome. apparently it will never cure (obv.) but there isnt much chance of it prolonging life past 3 month. all i'm saying - if i was paying that much loot for that kind of gear, i'd be pretty gutted. they obv bash it too much.
sorry, couldent help myself. and tbf, i dont even like football. but it seems almost mandatory to stand in your corner regardless but it's rich coming from a person from a half-breed town like south shields.
its about time the world opened up to the possibilities of stem cells, a blank cell hat can replicate whatever instructions it is given is surely one of the most beneficial technological advances of our time, if god didnt want us to use stem cells he wouldnt have invented the brain
