i disagree, i say the sage, as i seen the pet shop boys there and it was out of this world. but going to see papa roach in october at the carling so it could be there as the past few bands ive seen there it was great
I've had some of the best nights in the city hall, the whole layout and acoustics makes it feel like a real live venue. It feels more intimate yet its still quite a big space. The Sage doesn't feel as suited to the type of bands i'm into, suppose its all about personal taste, i enjoyed the Sage but have had better nights elsewhere. Also the fact the city hall has so mich history where as The Sage is a relative newcomer to music in newcastle. The O2 is quality aswell like.
ITS THE WORST BY A MILE ill never go again. The seats where made for victorian midgets, far too small total nightmare having to sit on the people to left and right in the 00's its no good karma
Anything is better than the Arena, what a horrific venue. I quite like the Academy though, seems suited to a lot of the bands I like. Going to try and get to Ian Brown at the City Hall though, and I'm sure there's something else coming up there that I fancy, but can't remember what.
the Acousitics at the sage are mindblowing like, saw lemon jelly there ages ago and it was the best thing i've ever seen live as far electronic music goes. The 02's always been good tho
it gets good line ups no doubt its just outdated and a unpleasant night out in general... lol at cramming into the function room type bar at half time no thanks
I like the bassment me, then the Academy, then the Northumbria. Never been to out decent at the Shitty hall tho, apart from the Smurfs when I was younger. The Arena is a shithole like but I still have a good time in it. Someone was telling me theyre gonna tear it down and rebuild it. Dunno if its true like.
i didnt question that did i? i havent seen orbital - i've seen mau5 a few times, each set being quite a bit the same as the other. not to mention the many many many mixes i've heard which are indeed... similar. and apparently he smells funny.
