I've had some horrendous ear infections in my left ear, if I'm honest my left ears never been better. I've woke up with blood streaming out of my ear on a couple of occasions.
I first noticed a problem with my ear from my days of going to see bands, i think it was the NME tour years back. I woke up the next morning with a high pitched sound ringing in my left ear, and it was ever better from that day. Stack that up with falling asleep on those steps, head against the bass bins in Foundation and you have lifelong problem
I actually thought you were taking the piss. I'm pretty sure there are no known contraindications between paracetamol and codeine Allie? If you take a large enough dose of either it's dangerous, as with anything. Are you not confusing this with the reason they put paracetamol in co-codamol, which is to stop people taking recreational doses of an opiate that can be bought in boots because to do so requires the intake of a dangerous amount of paracetamol? You may work in a pharmacy, but I've done 4-aco-mipt
working in dusty atmospheres and not wearing a mask can cause inner ear probs as well as sniffing powders. not that anyone would do that like
hmmm... that's because you don't have a pharmacology degree. both codeine and paracetamol are prodrugs. this means that once absorbed from the small intestine into systemic circulation, they must first pass by the liver (via the hepatic portal vein) to be metabolised to their active form, which, in both cases, is morphine, before they exhibit any therapeutic effects. this is where things get dangerous, as morphine is an opiate with pretty severe consequences in overdose, predominantly through respiratory depression and subsequent death through asphyxiation. and for the record, i don't work in a pharmacy...
how's it feeling dan? before anymore lah-dee-dah textbook quaffing becomes even more apparent in the thread.
its active form is morphine, yeah. a very low therapeutic dose, but thats its active form. forks - why would you think i would lie about it?
Well if that's the case, which it isn't, how would it be particularly dangerous? It would take a decent dose to combine to cause a morphine overdose.
i'll tell you what, i'm wrong. you're completely right, and my degree actually means fuck all. of course you know a lot more than me, you've done half of some hefcs...
