The lights dimmed in the house before and my mam left the room, asked where the candles were and came back with a torch for my dad.
Key here is the bitter winds, if they are really bad it'll feel like -25 at least and it'll freeze fucking everything. And they are predicted. Doesn't feel too bad when there's no wind but as soon as it picks up, fucked.com!
Aye the wind is brutal, I've not felt cold at all while I've been out during the past week, but the minute it gets the slightest bit windy I'll be freezing my arse off.
I took dog for a walk around 7am and the amount of people outside trying to dig their cars out and storming inside the house realising it just was pointless really put a smile on my face
Just saw some random bloke having to get dug out by a neighbour. There are big mounds of solid ice on the roads everywhere.
The snow is melting at a ridiculous rate in shields, it's slush on the roads and paths round my estate for the first time in days, this is not acceptable. Snow keeps the forieigners and roryspace (filthy jock) indoors ffs!
Having to spend hundreds of £'s to buy kit for my outdoor leadership course in uni has started to feel worthwhile now Insulating socks, goretex boots, waterproof pants, base layer, fleece, berghaus goretex jacket and a hat and I'm fucking steaming through the snow It's just a shame I've done my back in sledging over a jump otherwise I'd be out again now. That said, I reckon I can still muster up the moves to get an iglue built in the garden.. gonna get to work on that today. PS. I haven't listened to the radio, read a newspaper or watched the news for a few months now and I can safely say it's refreshing that I don't have to know what the experts are predicting for us all
