KLICKKLACK 1ST BIRTHDAY /// EINZELKIND/JULIEN CHAPTAL LIVE FRI 19TH FEBRUARY

KLICKKLACK 1ST BIRTHDAY @ THE COSMIC BALLROOM ///
    FRIDAY 19TH FEBRUARY 2010 ///
    10PM - 0530AM ///

Well folks hasn't time flown by. We really have enjoyed our first year and can't say thank you enough. You have trusted us in our bookings and shown us great support. Never wanting to rest on our laurels we really thought hard about who we could book to make our birthday celebrations a night to remember. Two big hitters on the underground dance scene who's productions are always pushing boundries and devastating the dancefloors of all the big clubs in Europe and the rest of the world. We are proud to announce..................

EINZELKIND /// (Get Physical Music, La Pena, Kindisch)

Arno Völker and Miguel Ayala were born and raised in Cuba, where they grew up in family of 17 people. Voodoo was a vital part of their upbringing and still holds a strong influence in their life, a fact that showcases strongly in their production. They often record their shaman rituals and use them as samples in their tracks giving them a heavy spiritual feel. When they came to Germany one of the first words they learned was "Einzelkind" being total alien to the concept of growing up alone, they took it as their project name and tried to adapt to their new surroundings. It was hard at first, but with a little help of their new made friends at the Get Physical camp they made it and without loosing any of their afrocaribean identity; they produced music working with the likes of Chelonis R. Jones, Meat and Douglas Greed on numerous labels such as Raum_Musik, Playhouse, Kindisch to name a few.

But 2008 held a very special project to be born; La Peña was an idea they'd had for quite some time, in itself a simple idea. They wanted to release their favorite House Tracks on a platform where only music mattered, no artists, no titles, just good music. And being in Frankfurt where currently House is exploding certainly gives them a good surrounding for this idea. Good tracks appear right and left from them and last but not least their own productions come into place. La Peña artists include Reboot, Christian Burkhardt, Sascha Dive, Kia and Einzelkind themselves.

    JULIEN CHAPTAL // /LIVE ///(Remote Area, 100% Pure, 2020 Vision)

French producer Julien Chaptal is a big player in the Amsterdam electronic underground. In recent years the city has managed to put itself back on the international map. The music that comes from the Dutch capital sounds so fresh and exciting. Born and raised in Paris, Chaptal moved to the USA and later to Canada before he settled in Amsterdam. Het got his first break with his own group Le Clic, a popular live-act in the Netherlands even playing on the mainstage of the Amsterdam Welcome to the Future-festival in summer 2007. He also performed with the 6-piece Amsterdam 661, consisting of six members of the burgeoning Amsterdam scene: Lauhaus, David Labeij, Quazar, Boris Werner, Kabale Und Liebe. It says a lot about the Amsterdam scene that all these producers actually play together. Not only on stage, but also in the studio.

Compared to other new minimal, techno and house producers in Amsterdam, Chaptal’s sound is definitely different. He stands out from the rest because his music breathes his musical roots: the French house that dominated dance music and especially his hometown Paris, in the second part of the 90's. His grooves are housey, deep, the subtle melodies fresh and uplifting and at the same time can cause severe damage on the dancefloor. His tracks show the way electronic music should be going and is best proof that French house is alive and well and living in Amsterdam.

actually looking forward to checking out downstairs, been enjoying alot of the Get Physical/Kindisch stuff in the last year or so and reckon Chaptal doing the live thing will be something a bit different and live sets in general tend to be really entertaining, £10 for advance tickets is a pretty good deal I reckon :cool2:

    no worries mate :cool2:

we've put a lot of effort into 326 N. Michigan (assuming everyone gets the reference/address - if not, google it or ask us), and we hope that we can set the mood perfectly upstairs having played up there a lot between us, for a lot of different nights.

reckon we'll be arguing over who's playing when chaptal is on downstairs though, definitely not missing that!

Aye i think it might be wise not to miss that like if you can help it, everyone is going mad for it, i think Einzelkind will be massively suited to the early hours as he's knocks out some pretty weird stuff sometimes. Cant wait
