The speakers are all custom jobs except the in-fills, which are EV (electro-voice).

The amps are Crown, the processing is done my omni drive compacts (2 of), the limiting is done by a Formula sound attenuator and the compressing is done by Berringer.

I would have to check but I think its just shy of 30k inc monitors.

It was all installed by CVA.

Yes yr right, it fuckin rocks. :D

true... but i seen a negative piece on it on gurn.net saying it didnt pick out the finer points of tunes.... also described promise as 'a skool disco' with people waiting for each other to get on the dance floor!!!!

Rob, u heard of dillinger (spelling), the drum n bass guy
who has re-morgagged (spelling) his house to set-up his own sound system, that is designed around the sounds on his tunes.
they reckon its around 90k:eek: or so im told, apparently legaly they have to hand out ear plugs before his gigs

Haha, tis true at times tho, the dance floor is always empty at first and u can sometimes see some people itching to get on but they won't because its empty. I thought all clubs were like that tho!

IMO i think sometimes its turned up to loud..and all you can here is bang bang bang...and as said above, you cant hear the finer points...i remember sum time ago at crasher launch, when richard was playing,,and its sounded mint..then half way through Hardwicks set,it just went bang bang bang..

I saw him at the uni a month or so ago and he had some of it there, they couldn't fit anymore of it in but it was well loud. I gave my ear plugs away and wished I hadn't. My ears were ringing for two days after it.

Another quality sound system was the one Leftfield took on tour with them a couple of years ago when they played Northumbria Uni. When the bass kicked in properly for the first time that night I thought I was gonna fall over, it was possibly the best night out I've ever had.

My ears were ringin all day yesterday from Promise's sound system! Don't think I'd like to be anywhere within a 10 mile radius of Dillinja's system!

I am increasingly starting to dislike the Foundation sound system. Its definetly true that the purcussive parts of tunes are barely audible. When I am in Foundation, I i am always thinking to myself 'if only they would turn the bass down a little bit'. For example, Sunshine by Tomasz vs Filterheadz really struggled (it being such a purcussive tune) when Picotto played it the other week. The sound in Stereo however......

It's certainly the best sound system in town, without a shadow of doubt. Having said that it's by no means my favourite. All time favourite sound system is the fern 3d that they installed in the mint club about 18 months ago. Tempted to go down to hear Sneak rip the arse out of it on NYE. More bass and better clarity. The one at rehab not half bad either but I still prefer the mint club's system.
