10 hour oldskool set

A DECADE OF DESTRUCTION - 10 yrs of DJing, 10hr set

To celebrate my 10th year of DJing, I will be having a party in January 2003 (possibly Saturday 25th) in Newcastle, at a venue TBC.

Hopefully running from 2pm - 2am, I'll be doing a 10 hour set, going throught the whole 'hard dance' music spectrum, a history of hardcore if you like.

Starting with early house classics --> 88 acid house --> early 90's US & European techno --> breakbeat --> oldskool gabba --> newstyle Dutch gabba --> hardcore techno & speedcore. (No happy hardcore!)

Im sure many tunes will bring back memories of Butterloggie, Havanna, Wear FM, Rezerection, old Blue Monkey & After Dark & Judgement Day.

There are possibilities of back2back sets with past & present DJs & 2 special guests, depending on venue times.

hi smurf...that random geri shite was boring me so I crashed oot. yep, i work with the lads on a few differnent bits and pieces they got going on.

your nite sounds like a top idea, I used to go to the real after dark and the col, back in the day like...*fond memories* would be nice to hear it all again but I think that adidas hotpants i used to love should be consigned to the wheely bin of history!

Spence - Oldskool gabba I class as the old Dutch & Ruffneck stuff from 1994/5. The Dutch stuff all went a bit cheesy now its went really dark and industrial at around 160 BPM.
The harder side of gabba is now ruled by the French.

Scott Brown is still going. He is huge in Europe now playing 'new-style gabber' and is still the incredible sunbed-tan-man !
He may be coming to the Decade party.
