This seems to be the opinion of many people who havent watched us this year... though for anyone interested, heres the facts:

In 2011 we have won 2 out of 16 home games. The worst home form in the Premiership and if this had been in one season and not spread across 2 theres little doubt we would be relegated.

After an initial improvement when he came in the squad has regressed alarmingly in the last 18 months. This time last season we had Bent, Gyan and Welbeck as our forward line... now we have Bendtner on loan, Wickham and Ji Dong Won who are massively inexperienced and cant be expected to lead the line in the premiership on a weekly basis.

Key players have left and never been replaced, Bent, Malbranque, Cana and Zenden to name a few off the top of y head. A lot of the money has been wasted on players we didnt need, or who werent good enough to get a game. Hence the squad regression.

Bruce has now signed over 30 players in 3 years (yes, 30) and we have fuck all up front, no recognised left back (Bardsley is a RB and Richardson is a midfielder) and no left winger.

Tactically he has been massively found out this season, not having the players to change games (after 3 years in charge he has to take responsibility for this) and not having any tactical nous to break down even teams struggling at the foot of the table.

And finally as it stands our recent form is 21 points from our last 27 games. Thats shockingly bad form over the equivalent of 3 quarters of a season. He talks about the expectations of the fans but is there a club in the country where that would be acceptable?

The fan situation regarding Bruce has fuck all to do with our expectations, where hes from, his waistline or anything else that he has clung to over the past few weeks. It has everything to do with the situation we are in being 2 points above relegation, with the worst home form in the league and no signs on the pitch of where things can improve.

Aye the SWC were singing this after their goal went in. Feel sorry for the bloke on a personal level though he needs to take responsibility for everything in my above post and its at the point now where he has to move on for everyones sakes.

He just seems to be utterly bereft of any tactical know how. He doenst play two wingers and two strikers, has no idea about tactical substitutions and certainly doesnt have a good eye for new signings. His luck has completely run out and now the majority of the supporters have turned there doesnt seem to be a way back for him. The only thing keeping him at SAFC at the minute is Quinn not wanting to give him the bumper payout he would be entitled to due to the 5 year contract he gave Bruce just last year.

I remeber the start of the season when the Mackems were bleating on about 'Setting the transfer window alight' and mocking NUFC for signing 'unproven frenchies'. We were going to sink like a stone with a yes man like Pardew at the helm, whilst they would be riding high in the Champions League spot come xmas thanks to the 'proven winners' they have signed.

All the time this was going on we just sat back and waited for the inevitible mackem arrogance to pale into shocked, concerned and downright tearful faces.

The only way is down for SAFC if Bruce stays in charge. Let hope that happens.
