hahahahah I was just creasing to myself the other day thinking back to everyone being on acid and that set getting smashed to fuck and everyone was all in agreement and like "fuck me, imagine having actually been at this Exposure Festival to witness this set, where was it Rossy?"

Me: "It was an online festival"

Everyone else: "fuck me, a WHAT?"

I haven't heard it but I doubt it's ever been released. Best thing to do is message Tulip and ask for a copy. I've just received an unreleased prog tune by 'Micah' by this exact method on soundcloud. Most people never reply, but every now and then they pull through.

You didn't listen to dance music for about 10 years, I think you've answered your own question there!

    haha! Brilliant!

I vaguely remember Laverty and Purvy walking around the back lanes of Jesmond looking for a band that they could apparently hear?

I tried to be the voice of reason and tell them we'd all just taken acid and it could have simply been a car playing music, but no, they went out to look for a band.

HAHA it was me and laverty man, we were convinced there was a brass band walking down the street so we went walking round looking for it, then we tracked it down to this building and stuck our head through the doors and there was just a full orchestra facing us playing away

Tell us you found the band. And i'd say dance music hit pause for me in 2008!

It wasn't a band as such, it was a full blown orchestra. We peaked our heads through the door and they were all staring at us, playing violins and shit. It was only round the corner.

...Come to think of it, every time I've partied with you, Rossy, I've ended up taking some sort of psychedelic and going on the missing list for days.

The older sounding prog seem's to have done a full circle again.

Marco Bailey's stuff on Bedrock is incredible:

Aye mate I've noticed this. The new prog sound from about 2008~ always sounded shite to me, there was far too much minimal and electro influence holding it back, but now it seems to be more influenced by tech house & melodic minimal stuff, which makes sense and has lead to a much cooler sound... one incidentally closer to the original prog sound

Me & Josh are doing a mix this week, having spent the part of the other weekend wrecked on base listening to about 10 tracks on a loop for 8 hours and declaring prog was back.
