It gets attention, the chicks dig it and we look cooler then ne1 else Started goin to promise in cyber nd its gona stay like that 4 a while. (or until this fri cos i cant b arsed )
I have no problem about people wearing cyber, as much as it doesn't do anything for me whatsoever anymore, I won't begrudge anyone else for doing it. I remember the passion I use to have for it and won't take that away from anyone. but what alot of cybers fail to realise, usually the ones who have just gotten into the whole clubbing thang, that cyber has been around for a long time, it's nothing new and it's not a necessary uniform to get into the clubs! It certainly doesn't make the club, it's just an element within it. I think with people that are just getting into the club scene today, cyber isn't really their time nor era to be fair. It's been dragged literally to where it is now and it's becoming tiresome, even to the clubs who are trying to discourage it. People move on, some see the light quicker than others.
Definetly ban cyber from VIP rooms tho it has to be said, it just looks really wrong. We had some in Tidy last weekend, really quite bizarre set of people, cyber extremists, completely off their tits, dummy in their mouths thinking they had hit the big time, im sorry but they just didnt blend in and looked rather silly to be honest, provided abit of entertainment for a time. how they got a band god only knows, at that point I just didn't care to question them I don't know many cybers who are djs/promotors/workers/media liaisons/family and friends in the industry which is what vip is for. And when I was cyber I wouldn't go into VIP because I would look a tit, even when I knew people there it just didn't feel right. Some clubs arent strict enough with their policies anymore, on the door or anywhere else which is a shame, Crasher is another example. Does Promise have a VIP room? I'll be making my journey upto promise in the near future, probably February when the lineups look a tad more entising, I hope it's nice!
what?!?!?!? trust me the person who sits in the VIP room worryign whether they stand out, or if lesser "cool" folk stand out more than he does - stands out lke a sore thumb... VIP rooms are never dictated by dress codes, they're for staff and friends of the club to unwind and relax - not for kids to go in posing and tryuing to look cool.... Shaun sweety you need to stop worrying about how cool other people look cos you'll end up looking like a complete tit... Nobody cares if you can get into VIP rooms and you must get the piss rupped out of u if all u do is laugh @ people who in your eyes don't look "cool" enough to be backstage... Its wasn't long ago since u were cyber... sheding ur clse doesn't elevate u to god status
heh why don't you just ban townie clothes then? you'd get a much better atmosphere if you didn't have the brown Rockport sqaud in, and all the try hards? hah... i s'pose you'd get a lot less people in as well, and probably go out of business... but i for one would respect you for making a stand :groovy:
you tell everyone that wears try hardy stuff they look shit so all im sayin is that i think most cybers now look crap compared to how good it used to look...thats all
I aint told any1 they loked shit in ages think it was quite a cuntish thing to do Think my last comment was I don't like parkers.... which aint that insulting I think try hards can look class (when they put a lot of effort into it), love the victorian and mod stuff a lot of try hards do, also really like some of the try hards when they put a lot of effort in (with right posey hair cuts and dinner jackets, etc.)... just not a big fan of ripped jeans and safety pins I don't understand what your saying tho - your point is you want to wear cyber but you think it looks shit.... just a teeny contradiction
what im saying is i used to love cyber...infact i was obsessed with it but now i hate it because of how its done and the types of people who wear it.....fookin charvers wear it now for gods sakes cos its almost guarunteed entry for them into the club if it completely went for a while i think it would be a good thing cos if it made a comeback it would look cool again u see?
Think what us said before made more sense.... Think that if cyber came back it would look the same and most people would still see it as boring (cept people who were new to clubbing like say charva's - who have 2 start somewhere) people who've been there and done that will still fid it boring. Think what you said before about inventing summit like retro cyber would work cos it would be something fresh... but most funky cyber efforts don't stand out enough to get people copying them... so they end up looking like gumbies trying to be try hards.
im bored of thinking about this now...i used to love cyber...now i dont u still love cyber and wear it proud end of
