Racism After reading some comments that, IMHO, were racist i was wondering if people thought that there was ever a time or place for racism??? Me personally i find jokes about black people funny, yet i dont consider my self to be racist. I couldn't give 2 fucks what colour your skin is or what religion you are. As far as i am concerned everyone is the same, but if your a cunt your a cunt no matter whether your black, white, muslim, jew etc......... your views????
I'm another one of those hipocrates who find racist jokes funny but I'm not racist. As I get older I tend to feel a little awkward laughing at the punchline (knowing that it's kinda wrong) And I very rarely tell racist jokes now (compared to a few years ago)
Re: Rasism Richie isnt racist half of his mates r gunga's! One of his mates is from Iran! If u knew him u would know his sense of humour! So go and be a monkey else where!
some issues sometimes are best kept well clear of... with so many differing opinions and so many people it can be very easy to offend someone... it's all common sense....
Yeah I think that I fall into that catagory aswell. I'm not racist at all. I have friends of all races. A persons a person to me. You either like them or dont. Its got nothing to do with their race.
agreed.. mr fish pointed out a while ago about the nu all black radio bbc radio station.. and what an uproar it wud cause if there were an all white station...
The paki word aint necessarily racist. I hear other asians using it. I suppose it's all about context.
political correctness is going too far imo... taking the three lil pigs out of school curiculams to avoid upsetting kosher obeying religious groups...
I stopped telling and laughing at racist jokes because 1: My girlfriend is half Persian & thinks its extremely ignorant of white people, especially as most don't know their Indians from their Pakistanis to their Persians etc. & 2: I've been to see Chubby Brown so I know and have heard every racist joke there is! (Totally agree with the BBC black music radio station. Why is that kind of music catergorised as black? I like most of it).
i think there is no need for recism at all when me and my girlfriend were on the bus this old dude started going off on one and i mean off on one all beacuse this little indian girl wanted to look at the baby he was saying all sorts to the little girl who her self was only about 3 or 4 like u little p!!i get a way from the bairn your not white but in more stronger context then that then he threaten to stab her dad if he didnt get her away from the bairn it was horrible takes a lot to discust me and that did for sure like:spangled:
what some people and communities find and don't find offensive racially is not a well defined boundary... in our broadly mixed society is best to be well back from the line! Ethnic minorities find it harder simply because they are minorities - the majority have the responsibilty and the luxury of being more tolerant and accepting. IMO i must add.
