1) 1 helicopter crashes killing 12.
2) 2 helicopters collide killing both crews
3) Mad Marine frags his chums in their sleep killing one injuring 12.
4) "Allies" shock as Iraqi Army actually fights back and stops their advance.
5) Turkey invades northern Iraq.
6) Now two US Pilots have been shot down over Baghdad. One captured one hiding or dead in the river!

Not going to plan eh??? hahaha

7) An American solider throw's 2 grenedes in to a tent where their was a top meeting taking place in Kuwait. One soldier already confirmed dead.
8)An RAF tornado has been shot down on the Iraq/Kuwait border by an US missile.

Sorry, but I really don't see what is so funny about any of this.

I think it's in bad taste to make jokes about deaths within our armed forces when they are trying their very best to end the conflict as quickly as possible.

They should be receiving our full support, not having the piss taken out of them.

I was not making a joke at it mate, I was just stating some more fact's, I did not put any LOL or anything in my thread. I just cannot undrstand how all of these thing's can happen. you could maybe understand 1 or 2 happening in the heat of a war, but surely not all of these.

Unfortunately, bad things happen in war and life in general. It's a shame, I just think it wrong of people to make fun of stuff like that.

Letting people know what's going on is ok, it's educating people who may not have heard/known, but piss taking is different.

You never know who, if anyone, from the board, may have friends/family involved in the Gulf crisis and may take great offence to posts like that. It may even be the case that their mates/sons/brothers/etc were involved in these tragedies, we just don't know.

I just think some people on here really need to think about what they are posting and grow up.

I don't care whether people agree with the war or not, laughing about people who have been killed is in really bad taste.

Plenty of people on this board know people who are out there, or who are in the forces and will probably be sent there at some point soon.

Have to agree with Claire here. I think you misread what we were saying.

We are not debating the moral justification for war, or trying to hide the unfortunate things that have transpired as of late, merely that people should be taking it seriously and not poking fun at death, whether it be Iraqi or allied.

I do feel sorry for the Iraquis. I wouldn't say I was pro-war (well not without UN backing anyway, but thats a different discussion)

My ex boyfriend who's still a close friend is in the RAF and he's over there right now. I just don't think that we should be taking the piss cos some of our lads have been killed in accidents.

I would say a large percent of people on this board are worried about friend and relatives at the moment, so of course people are going to be sensitive about any comments that are made.

i did until today, when i seen about 100 of them beeting or waiting the shit out of one american pilot.

ffs they were celebrating and dancing when they were burning the reeds the pilot was hiding in.

i still fell sorry for sum of them tho.
