It involved two celebs and also involved sex. Anything like that wud sell by the bucketload. Therefore it was a gud story for the press to cover.

And, if there was no proof, where is the ten or 20 lawsuits for defamation from Leslie?

For the papers it was classed as a 'top' story.

Two very well known celeb's and an incident that shouldnt be taken lightly, but however It was wrong that it all got blown up as much as it did - especially now that the case has been dropped with lack of evidence.

John Leslie had been branded a rapist before any real, hard evidence has come about and it's not fair, IMO! It's going to be hard for that man to carry on with his 'normal' life - how long before he gets accepted for another presenter job? It may not even happen!

It's been a fair few weeks that the case was dropped but how many papers printed that story then ?

The papers knew who Urika's (sp) finger was pointed at before hand but for legal reasons were unable to name who 'it was' - it was only 'cos of that Wright guy who blerted it out on TV that they got away with it.

The papers can be crule, and they will print whatever 'gossip' story comes to light, wether it be true or not.
