After visiting the estate agents and realising I can afford a mortgage for 65k, im thinking of moving to South Shields and just wondered what are the rough bits to avoid, what are the better areas?

the part that you want to be in is bents park area. basiclly the further out you get the rougher it gets

thats where i live, but you may get a flat for that round my area or the law top that is a nice area

yer i live next to nat there is a few nice places in shields talbot road end is nice

Cheers for the help, was gonna ask also, whats that housing estate called which is between Shields and Roker? U know the one over the road from the grotto etc.

is tht not just marsden??

don't go round there, it's one of the worst parts, it's called horsely hill round there

Just go have a look round. You can pretty much tell just by lookin at a place.
