just the usual flock of high peaked burberry caps matched ever so nicely with a dark moonshadow blue waterproof jacket, branded shoes that will see you through to your grave, which also enable you to climb rocks?
And the piece de resistance, the tracksuit trousers which fcuks up the whole outfit !

    stylish.....fcuk yeah

I think someone before was saying about qualifications being needed etc.

To be honest it varies, depending on what job ur after.

Take for example myself, Fairly good gcse's, 1xGNVQ Distinction, and im now an ICT Technician earning around £15k pa

My mate left school with no quals, so he took an apprentiship as an Electrician, now hes 21 and hes on 24k and his brother, same scenario but is 28 is on 34k pa now.

    Makes u sick dont it!

Wish id done an apprent. now.

true....short term...but long term as u have the qualifications and will gain the experience u can move further and further up...a lot of the time these ppl who get "lucky" i suppose may earn more to start with...but tend to be stuck at the same level forever!

Umm, but in time will your wage not go up Joe?

I was going to do an apprentichipe in accountancy, but decided to do A levels instead (which am doing now) then hopefully going to uni to do a degree. In my case i was told that if i had A levels and a degree behind me then later on i will bebefit by getting paid more than those who do an apprentichipe.

    not true :)

the joy of apprenticeships is that you get to study as well as getting real world experience.

therefore - at the end of the apprenticeship you have experience AND qualifications - the best of both worlds.

and lets face it - theres no substitute for experience, no matter what anyone says.

from college after this year its off to uni for me. possibly maths or physics or something that will give me access to joining the RAF to fly planes.

Come out after ten years. join easyjet for £50k a year. after ten years there, become captain for £75k a year and that aint including yearly bonuses!

qualifications i believe is the only way.
my mam has had many change of career in her life, including doing a degree at the age of 46 to get a 2-1 in english and history. then a pgce and is now and english teacher !

starting from scratch later on in life is sooo hard, I know !

I dont support a welfare system which allows people who basically dont want to work - a lifestyle that people from around the world would envy... And all paid for hard working, tax shafted individuals.

Ive come across a number of people in my time who seem to revel in the fact they do fuck all and get paid to do it. Granted there are genuine cases, but the bottom line is that theres a massive number of people who basically "cant be arsed".

I dont really blame the people though - if theres an opportunity... why not take advantage of it. I blame a government which more or less supports this kind of behaviour.

People who dont want work should be put in dorms till they get a job - only then should they be allowed support from the government to live a dignified existence.
