Apparently calling you "chicks" make me look silly, I'm guessing that calling you, say, "wenches" or something similar might offend 1 or 2 of you, so I have to admit to being a bit stuck here trying to find a collective word for persons of the opposite sex that neither make me look silly nor offends you, so please help by choosing the best word from the list.

Women or lasses would be the best bet. Altough you'll not be able to use the term 'women' on here very much due to ages of board members

I dont really like 'girls'. Like you said its a term for younger people. I dont think Id be classed as a girl anymore.

I think lasses or girls and women would work just fine

Lasses is common and northern... lasses get their baps out at Yel! for kebabs.

I think girls is probably best, though it is a serious misnomer for me! Birds, ladies, women etc are fine too (terms that is, before anyone starts). Not too keen on lasses though.

I prefer the term bird, but I appear to be the only one. Think its more casual and comfortable. Dont like girl. Girls wear pigtails and frilly dresses!!
