Just cause your into trance , does not give you the right to slag anyone of who does not play it
Point 1 -Faulty Amp , Totally Random , nothing to do with mauro
2nd Point -Mauro Was great , the crowd was exellant and really receptive to what he plays
3rd Point -These endless threads about mauro are boring , proof is in the pudding the club was busy , great atmosphere

ps steven don,t rise to the bait

Trance and techno are totally different and the frequencies they use in tracks are different so sometimes is something set up for trance its not going to be ideal for techno.

If Mauro managed to blow an amp at promise, i dodnt even want to think what Dave Clarke will do to it.

In responce to this point, on Saturday mornig Mauro said to me he was really surprised the crowd let him do what he wanted to do and they just went with him.

With Richard playing hard trance he wanted to bring it right down (Which he did) and then build it up for himself.

From where i was standing for most of the nite the crowd looked well up for it but all these mixed reactions are just part and parcel of Mauro now.

Trance people hate because he now plays techno and techno people hate him because he used to play trance.

All in all i think it was a great nite, but hey, what do i know???

The reason I think people are complaining is cos Mauro built it all up himself and it was very different to how Richard finished. IMO this made it even better cos it had everyone waiting for it to kick off.

It makes a nice change to have someone on at Promise that doesnt do what the crowd expects. I was taken by surprise and I loved every second of it. I cant remember the last time Ive danced nearly all night and not got bored and wanted to leave early :D :D :D

    Mauro was class on Friday.

Every set I have seen from him has been different & kept me interested. I cant say that for "Hard Dance"........:p

Any Monkey can play a few banging tunes and maybe if your lucky drop Scott Project - Overdrive *swoon*

    Its pot noodle music.

Importantly everyone involved with Promise said Mauro was great.

As for the amp. hahaha you clueless fools! Anyone who has seen a lot of Mauro will know he is the god of tuning up and getting the best out of a sound system.... by far the best iv heard! he often changes the sound of the night within secs of taking to the decks iv seen him do it with shite sound systems like GC SSS's and sort Foundations suspect farty system out before. Yeah shindig have had problems recently as well.

Cannot believe some of the idiotic comments on the other thread.

Well done though to those who had the intelligence to post something sensible such as Magicpaul, Jambon, Fizz, Michael, Vandenburg, Pike and a few others (cant remember everyone who said something worthwile, so dont take offence if ive missed ya out). :p

I sort of gathered that !

Whats going to happen this weekend when Dave Clarke palsy on friday - whats the chanes of him blowing the whole system ?

I wasnt there on friday so i didnt and havent slated anyone that DJ'd on the night cos i wouldnt know what they played like !

All i did was pointed out that Mauro has taken sound systems to another level in the places that i said whethere that be good or bad - at the end of the day tho Mauro and all other DJ's that played on friday are doing summit right cos there playing in clubs full of people and im playing in me room :(

    *slits wrists it*

Some people enjoyed him, others didn't. I fail to see what the big deal is. Surely its just a case of different people having different tastes.

Admire Picotto for trying to evolve his style from the pure relentless stuff he played a few years ago. His sets have much more variation in them now

    Re: Re: Picotto on Friday

It is professional. Using the eqs is probably the hardest thing to master as a DJ. I dont know one club DJ that doesnt constantly adjust the eq's through his set to get the most out his tunes.

That is just a totally ignorant comment matey...
