Weekly Promise!!

unfortunetly i didnt start goin to promise until it went monthly...

ddidnt get to experience the weekly one but if im loving promise being monthly, gives me something to look forward to, i suppose if i went there every single week i might start to gt a bit sick.

wen tulip played a prog warm up tho it was amazing, wish we couldd hear that every month.!1

i miss it quite alot.

the whole ritual of the day/night...

friday afternoon we used to go down to the union, they had some little Japaneese kid playing prog in there all afternoon, he was wicked. Trisco - musak was played everyweek.....awesome...
got hammered in the afternoon, then got some food on the way home about 6ish....chilled out at home for a bit, then got ready, listened to some tunes....
then everyone came round to mine, and we had some more drink.....then headed out. We normally went to flynns for some trebles...! then up to foundation about 11ish....
tulip playing prog, the aetheist, love in traffic, rapture....then someone to finish the night off....
then it went a bit more trancy which was good....everyone started to come then, dave + dave etc.....which was like the second phase of promise for me....with the first msg board meet up being the end of the second phase...

they were the best promise times for me.....i used to look forward to every friday, it was class....i was pretty gutted when i heard it was going monthly....

brought a tear to my eye
it's true tho.. promise every week was awesome, something to look 4ward to for the whole week...

well i only ever went occasionally.. not week in week out. but i kinda understand the appeal

im always at quality.. but i dont want that weekly.. i would just do my brain damage

Not true though. I was there pretty much every week. At least 3 out of 4 a month. I can honestly say that I appreciated it so much. After years of going to the worst clubs in South Shileds, etc, it was absolutley brilliant to go a club where you could here quality dance music, not fucking cheese. Where the people are so friendly, not wanting to smack you, will have a talk with you. I have met some of the my best mates I will ever had there, it's just such a brilliant culture to be apart of (Clubbing). I owe Promise a great deal I think, and I just wish more people had of apreciated it as much as me, then maybe it would of still been weekly.

This thread started as a result of me tellin Nat on msn that i missed it loads, while sitting in on a friday night (something i previously hadnt really done in 7 years.

It was great, the crack was bewtter, i loved it.

Thats what I meant. Most of us supported it and went as often as possible but, in the end, it wasn't enough. Now we're all in the same boat and stuck for something to do.

Yup weekly promise is a miss

Way easier for me to make it every month now tho, money & work wise.

Used to get me thru the crap week @ work. Now I gotta wait 4 bloody weeks.

Better goin monthly and being brill, than weekly and pulling poor crowds some weeks.

Would be nice to fink it could go weekly again one day.

Fridays when Promise / Quality arent on are soooo boring now. There aint newhere to go.
