going to shields for a b/day night out but havent
been for years, can any of the s/shields massive give
me any ideas on which bars/clubs etc to hit.

i live about 5 mins from the town centre eivissa genraly plays good tunes from about 10pm onwards other than that don't bother

o;briens is ok just up the road from there but the DJ is about 6month behind when it comes to good trance

looks like i'll have to put up with the shit music till 10. probs just get :spangled: so i wont remeber anything the next day

Just get pissed and have a laugh and try not to expect too much from the night Ie. Comparing it to Promise or any other clubbing nights out.
I would stay clear of Eivissa used to be good now it just gets full of Chavas tunes are ok but the crowd is terrible, Stay down next to Atlantic, Glo, and the other bars down that end of the town its cheesey as fuck but you will probably have a laugh

I live in shields, and Ill give ya some advice, DONT GO! It is crap. You'd far rather go round bars in newcastle.

Be sure to pop into the sealife centre and give your contribution to sealife conservation.

Last time I was down there saw some pissed tart running about outside Escape with her horrible knockers out - a highly disturbing experience.

well what do expect

simply follow this....


1. WOOOOOOOOOODY! cheap cheap beer and a great way to get mangled
2. GLO or ATLANTIC - "Trendier" bars, nice totty and decent crowd. dont expect a great atmosphere anywhere though
3. KIRKS, RAFFLES, OPUS. - good laugh for older birds, good to just get pissed and chat in.

then..

1. ESCAPE - absolute wank.. drinks are expensive when not on offer.. music is normally pants.. sometimes decent. and the place is full of SPUDS

2. ROXANNES/VOGUE- this is what its all about. proper old slappers out to grab some young tools and smother their saggy baps on people.

Make sure you're dressed in full 'sherminator' attire - wear anything else and you'll not get in anywhere.

Also:
- do not look at anybody's girlfriend while boyfriend is in vicinity(you could well be battered).

- do not attempt to argue with any bouncer (also due to the fact that you could be battered).

- really get into the spirit of it all by having a large doner kebab with chips (all sauces) on the way home (while being wary of the fact that you may get battered by someone looking for a fight).

TBH it is shit. Atlantic is alright, but so much R+B bollocks is played all over. Just make sure you get very pissed and have a laugh with ya mates, only advice I have got!
