Anyway, thought i'd share a story with you!

Was walking to the metro today, as I do every day to go to uni....

Anyway, I was pretty near the crossing, when the lights started flashing/alarm turned on. Since the train was still pretty far away...I *walked* over anyway, and actually walked to the platform, before the train arrived. This will give you an idea of how far the train was away...

Driver beeped at me and pulled some dodgy face....then when I got on he put an announcement over the tannoy and said "the young man who walked over the crossing when the lights came on, get off and wait for the next train, I am not moving unless you get off the train"

So off I got...over the tannoy "well done, thatll teach you, I hope you are late," then he went away!!

I was fuming! Really couldn't believe that he'd be such a cock. Fair enought the lights are there for a reason, can't argue that, but he was ages away.......just being a complete dick for the sake of it.

Even a few passengers commented on his sadess!!

Anyway, anybody got any similar stories?

make a complaint. I would.

Report him, make up a story that you missed a very important meeting/ presentation at uni.

He has no right to chuck you off the train for that, and to say 'hope you are late'

But at the end of the day whatever excuse I come up with, I did walk over the red lights, they will just say I put myself at extreme risk....from a train travelling at walking speed about 100 feet away

They won't do anything about it, I was going to ask his name and kick up a fuss.... but already felt enough of a tit

yeah, once was at bicester train station waiting for a train home to bristol, and I was stood just inside the yellow line by the platform, even though there were no trains coming, and some fat platform attendant walked by my, gave me a really dodgy look and rushed off in a huff. About 2 seconds later, the tannoy came on and said " will all passengers be reminded that the yellow lines are painted on the platform for your own safety, this also applies for the young man wearing the blue jacket" bastard

Worst thing was, he walked past me, and then stepped into and office about a two metres away from where I was stood just to go on the tannoy.

Promptly gave him the finger and said "fuck you" quite loudly soon as he stepped out of the office.

i just wouldnt have got off

its him who has to explain why hes cauded a delay to the metro timetable

I tried just sitting...he said he wasnt going to move until I did.

If the train was empty then I would have argued the toss....but I couldn't be arsed with any grief off passengers!

You should complain. I make complaints about bus drivers for being ****s all the time. Gives me great satisfaction when they write back to me to tell me that they've been hauled in for an interview about my complaint

mate that is shocking. I would still report him though. I know that officially you broke the rules by crossing the red light but for him to add that he hopes your late he should get done for. He is in a customer service industry. Phone them up and get the twat sacked :evil:

Problem is, I didn't get the guys name.

Might give them a call though, but I already know what their excuse will be like

Bus drivers can be tossers too...like once i was literally at the back wheel, sprinting, and he shut the doors and pulled away.

Plus...yeah I crossed the lights but I could see perfectly where the train was, and there was no risk, and he would blatently have knew that.

If he had just missed me or had to slam on the brakes or something that was actually dangerous... then yeah...I would have deserved a bollocking.

But out of spite....theres just no point.

I know, problem is, i'm not sure which one it was!! I think it was 7.15 or there abouts.

Just tell them what time the metro was and they'll be able to check who the driver was. You dont need his name to make a complaint. If people dont complain when stuff like that happens they'll keep being twats!

My bus service has got a lot better over the last year. I used to be making complaints about buses not turning up and drivers going straight past at least every 2 weeks. I havent had reason to complain now for ages so I think it has helped

i would just complain anyway and give a random time. If its not him who gets done it'll be one of his mates and they will no doubt talk about it during a break and he'll feel like an arse if his mate gets disciplined
