Speaking of which, I'm gonna have to get me back to the gym... I know your feeling exactly though Jon, I tend to do that a lot. I'm too lazy to go regularly, so when I do go I overdo it
Its only boring if ur gettin nowt out of it tho Did it not start to make u feel class when goin???? I always felt tired after wrk..started goin to gym n feelfull of life!
I went through a phase last year where I went to the gym twice a week and I did like it at first because I could feel myself getting fitter but after a while I was stuck at the same sort of level and, being the impatient bugger that I am, I got bored and stopped going. I would like to be a little fitter but I prefer things like football or badminton which are more interesting than fannying around on a treadmill for ages.
Aye, got to agree with Jill on this one, i find going to the gym boring as fuck, but on the other hand i'm totally content with stuff thats a challenge and gets the old adrenalin pumping - abit of excitment, as opposed to looking at four walls while your arms or legs are gonig 50 to the dozen
Tut tut Granted it gets a but boring - but I jus switch off for an hour and think of the zillion diff things goin on in me head.........lol - works a treat! Fell great after too so keep on goin back for more haha!
I am so unfit and lazy for all this lark. Im knackered reading bout ya's all training. Id much rather be sat on my lazy ass than sweating like a twat and looking like Im having a heart attack. :spangled: The only work out I get is dancing or sex Both gud stuff!
The worse thing about the gym is alot of people dont know what to do - so they end up trying to do 20 reps on every single machine, then spend the next week in agony. Only work on 1 or 2 actual bodyparts each session - and dont do weights and cardio in the same workout ... only do one or the other.... ... and if your in the gym for longer than 30-45 minutes your either a pro bodybuilder, or your doing it all wrong. ... alot of people quit really early on because they dont know most of that stuff... they go for 1-2 hour sessions, pedal away on the bikes, then go onto machines or weights...
good advice. I either do weights or cardio. I cant do both in one session, cos im too tired, and cant do one properly....
true true, its all about the split 30 mins is too short though, aim for 50 mins to an hour if your doing weights, include a 5 mins warm up and a 5 mins cool down.
There seems to be a fair few ppl who know alot bout this. Are you all toned/muscley behind ur computer screens??
