    Help! I wana new car

I need your help peeps!!! :D

I wana get rid of my car within the nxt 6mths and I need some help with what to get and where from. I aint good at this :spangled:

I want a new car really, or in the last couple of yrs. Was thinking along the lines of just a Clio or Golf?? (know how much these go for?) Am going from a 2ltr to probs a 1.2 so its gona be abit rough :( I need a "family" type car to fit a baby seat in and something thats gona save me some cash on insurance and petrol (I spend roughly £350 on my car per month atm) cos am going to Thailand nxt year and I seriously need to save a load of pennies!! :p

Can anyone suggest a decent type of car to go for?? And where to go? Is it best to get a deal from a garage or maybes just the Autotrader or something?? :spangled: :spangled: Does anyone know any good garages or deals going at the mo?

Any help would be appreciated  :)

    Polo's are reliable as fook.

You can pick up an N-reg 1.9 TDi polo for less than £4000 with about 50,000 miles on it. The diesel will give you 50+ miles per gallon and the engine will be good till at least 200,000 miles.

You'd also get airbags, windows, central locking, and relatively low insurance.

    Good luck

no it wont, it's a diesel.

The insurance group for a 1.9 TDi is the same as that for a 1.2-1.4 petrol car.

Plain 1.9 diesels with no turbo are the same group as 1 litre petros.

I'm also looking for a new car and want a Golf as well. Go to autotraders website and put in your specific search, it will come up with all the cars available and what dealers they are from.

Most are garages and you can specify how far from your post code you want to look.

Let me know how you get on looking for a Golf. :D

If ur wanting a new Golf - i advise u to go over to Denmark , it will b in your interest if u can b arsed with the hassle. My dad did this in sept/oct last year, he rang round some VW dealers in Denmark, bought one, flew over to Corpenhagen, picked it up, drove it to Holland i think:spangled: then got the ferry back, and savd about 3k on a new Golf GTTDI:)
