if you wanted to be sneaky - get a 0% credit card and set your minimum payment to whatever you want to pay each month off the debt. And transfer your debts onto that.

Then in 9 months when the interest rate goes back to the usual rate, reapply for another card and put the balance onto that.

This way you pay no interest.

Having said that - it takes alot of discipline. If your bad with credit cards and temptation (like me!) then this aint a good idea.

Only down side is that you have to go thru the application again and again. And it'll affect your credit scoring. And very sneaky

Theres someone at my work who does this all the time.

Best way, if u can be the arsed with always swapping cards and filling forms. Thats the bit i would fall down on.

Does it affect your credit rating though? :spangled:

    @ my debt !

I mean i pay me bills and the cards are all in a million bits but.... it just doesnt seem to go down - i took breaks on me loan payments to go to Ibiza and at the moment am into the last month of not paying it - how much to i have saved up !?!? fuck all !

I will get the £1000+ tho, been working overtime and its me b/day this weekend so i shall get helped out !

In all fairness tho i wish id never been so eager to get a visa/catalogue/loan - i now have 3 Cards / 1 Loan / 1 Catalogue and there all bad crack, good at the time but the consequences are horrific if you cant handle them like i ! :( :(

be careful tho miller coz everytime u apply for any credit and they do a check it lowers ur credit rating and ur less likely to be accepted. make sure u wanna take out the finance before u let them do the checks.

cards and catalogues are stingers in the interest dept, thats why it seems like its not goin down. eg if ur card APR is 18% and ur min payment is 5% of the balance, that means that half of ur min payment each month is eaten in interest. when u consider that the average barclaycard APR is 27%......!!!!!!!

Cheers boss. I never knew that tbh, thanks for the warning. They said it should take 24 hours to get back to me, so they have like an hour left.

probs ya best bet. loads of people just take out a 0%card instead of a loan then just transfer it to a new one every 6 months.

It's good in theory, but I can see myself never getting it paid off. All these cards will make my credit rating shite aswell though won't it???:(
