you can't say it's not catered for - there just ain't the market. Even people won't travel up here for it.

This is my point, I dont think hardhouse will ever be massive in the North-East, look at some of the DJ's that Quality had - Uberdruck, Glazby, Lashes, Savage, Yoji Biomehanika etc and they could not pull in a decent enough crowd to keep the night going. I think Quality was well ran and promoted and was the best shot at a decent Hardhouse night in Newcastle ever. Unfortunately hardhouse is meant for the smaller more collective venues in Newcastle and I think thats the only way it can work.

Man of science, tell me one hard house night that ever offered anything any different...that why they fail

The best HH event that graced newcastle was VIBE which Kerry and Helen ran 2-3 years ago.

Pity there was only ever 2 of them:

The one at Foundation in Dec 2000 was legendary

do all your family live in the past?

what did you used to bitch about 'back in the day' if the clubs/nightlife was so good?

Look what jimmy says - there just doesn't seem to be the crowd in the north east of HH punters to make it constant success.

    What would/are u doing differently?

damn fine point Jimmy, the smaller venues are more intimiate anyway, just because soemthing is smaller doesn't mean it is inferior. Some of the best gigs I ever went to were 300 or less.
You end up talking to everyone and no one poses in the posey I am wearing expensive clothes corner

Man of read this carefully we will say it only once. we are not a hard house night.

We will put whatever music on that takes our fancy .

    WE HATE LABELS

House, trance, electro, breaks, old skool , energy, techno , hard trance, energy, psy trance, steps, kate bush , joe fagin

its all music and doesnt need labels or politics imo

nice to see a diverse policy but thats not gonna keep the punters coming back

I quite enjoy going to smaller nights and the atmosphere is always great but you need to know your limits as to where to put on your night. You obviously aint gonna fill a 1000+ capacity club with a group of 'up and coming' DJ's. Its best to start with something small and build on that if you can although sometimes its best just to keep it small.

Your last point is a bit stereotypical IMO, I've been to massive events such as Godskitchen Global Gathering where there has been no 'poseys' and the atmosphere has been great. Basically you need to know your limits when putting on a night :)

not at all spence what I measnt to say was: I 'm too cool too dance corner as I may fracture my haircut.

It was called lets stand and pose in the corner music it would be called that and not "dance" music

its all good , but while we are on that clubs do the same judgement when they implement a restrictive dress code it cuts both ways

SERIOUS clubs are pretty laxed with dress codes, foundation for an example - but GENERAL clubs, like Legends, BaJa are different - different attitutes and different punters.
