Teenager dies on holiday island

A teenager has died of a brain haemorrhage after being hit in the head with a bottle. Richard Caisley, 19, from Newcastle, died on Thursday, two days after the incident in a bar in the San Jose resort of Ibiza.

Two Nottingham teenagers are being held in connection with the attack.

Mr Caisley was initially treated for an ear injury, after the fight on Tuesday but later became unwell in the hotel where was staying with three friends.

They called an ambulance but he was already in a coma when he arrived at hospital and died the following day.

Police can hold the suspects for 72 hours before taking them before a judge.



The fight was meant to have started when a pal of Mr Caisleys fell & smashed a table this unconfirmed as of yet

its sad when it happens anywhere, i dont get how people can just attack others for no reason, ill never get it

me neither. my m8s brother who lived in manchester or sumwhere was killed when he got in2 a fight back wen i was at school.
its shocking.

thats bad. I try avoid fighting unless i know its the only thing i can do, because for one im hardly built for battling, and i know theres people out their who would take it further than just using fists, its pointless

Yeah this was a mate of mine who I've known since age 4.

Everyone's absolutely gutted and can't believe it at all.

The most depressing thing is that he wasn't even meant to go on the holiday in the first place but stepped in when his mate broke up with his g/f who was meant to be going.

One of my mates from Liverppol was going to Uni in Manc, and his mate was killed when he had a fight there, fucking shocking!

one of the lads who i went to school with was walking down the street one day and was punched for no reason and died instantly!
