    Laser eye surgery

    Anyone had it? Or know someone who has? Info please!

    I've finally decided to get it done after I was playing football this pre-season and found that everytime a cross comes in the ball hits me before I know it's heading my way! Quite a fault for a striker!

    My sister had it done a few years back to correct shortsightedness. Her eyesight is perfect now. :up:

    Your eyesight may still deteriorate in time but it takes far longer and doesn't deteriorate to the extent it would without surgery (for shortsightedness anyway, not sure for longsightedness).

    Of course there have been problems but its a minute chance of things going wrong... any operations a risk in the end, just make sure that you go to a respected and qualified eye surgeon which most decent opticians will provide.

    I'm gonna get my eyes done too cos I wear contact lenses and glasses occasionally... just have to wait for the £££ tho :D

    i had it done in nov 02... well worth it imo... my eyesights fine an i've never had any trouble since...

    see them an get checked out before you do anything, cos about25% of people can't have it done cos of the shape of their eyeballs/thickness of the cornea etc...

    money well spent in my eyes, esp if you spend a fair amount on contact lenses like i did...

    smells of burning hair when they do it tho! :spangled:
