    WHQ last night........

.......it was shit. Went to Shindig, but Seaman cancelled, so we thought we would go somewhere different for a change. Didn't know what it would be like, but we thought what the fuck, we'll give it ago! Paid £8 to get in, went to both the rooms, and they were playing some dodgy jazz music, we all totally hated it.
We left after less than 5 mins, so we thought we would ask if we could get half our money back or something, not actually thinking we would. To our utter amazement we got all out money back, we couldn't believe it. How brilliant is that? Can you imagine any other club doing that? Big respect to the mangement of WHQ! Over and out!:D :D

in fairness though, regardless of your good fortune, just staying for 5 mins? gotta give a place the benefit of the doubt before you right it off. had some smashing nights in wordy's on a weekend.

    did you go upstairs??

whq is top drawer on a w/e imo... bit steep in tho & there is one cock dj regular whos renowned for relentlessly playing the most obscure self indulgent 'records' jus for the fuck of it.. you might jus have been unlucky!

As Simon says mate, you can hardly judge a night off 5 mins.

WHQ, is quality on a weekend. The guys upstairs plays right across the board, so Im sure if you had waited for a bit, you would have heard something that you liked.

They never have guests on weekends because they always fill the place.... The music is cheesey but still a laugh.

    i  whq.

Peter, send Paul a PM, or visit www.clubfragile.com for more info on Fragile.

I'd also say Central is definately worth a look in, especially when they've got Slum Science downstairs. Then you've got top-notch hip hop/breaks upstairs, and cool as fuck house downstairs.

Last time I was there it was Scratch Perverts upstairs, and Slum Science & The Underground Culture Tourist downstairs
