we got the tail of one, when i was living in NY 'hurricane charlie' i think its name was.....never seen rain/thunder like it! ....it scared moi!! xx
Just over the years there has been many a name and then it goes from there really doesnt it ! "Yeah thats hurricane Ivan, just look at the chest on him - deffinately an Ivan"
I heard once that they named them in alphabetical order. So if the last one is called Fred, they name the next one Graham, then the next one Harry, and so on. Not those exact names, but u know what i mean. F, G, H, etc. Probs bollox like. What have these recent ones been called? I havent really seen much news lately.
my mam n dad are in mexico too....she rang me before she went to get my address so she could make her will out
They are named in alphabetical order and boy girl boy girl, every season it goes back to A I have finally come to think thgat the immigratiuon service did me a favour...Gareth got evacuated from his house and all the hospital shut down...and I was thinking I was about to go into labour Hurricane Frances did me a favour though...ive been bugging him to get rid of a tree in our back garden for years cus it clocks my sun...Frances blew it away and left our house intact
I wouldnt worry chick...they usually hit Florida then fizzle out if they go anywhere in the gulf of mexico. They aren't in the path of Ivan...theres no more hanging about at the minute is there?
No...check my ticker...I've changed my due date....I've decided I need another month so baby's daddy isn't hiding from hurricanes while he is born (Ive only got 10 days left really...thought he was coming last week but was just false labour....now nothing is happening)
Lol...thats what everyone is saying....and i did start tidying up at 1am and then this afternoon i did some housework then passed out. I think it was more neccesity than nesting though cus if there was someone else here i would ahve made them do it.
my aunty just got back from Florida last night, she was due back last Friday though. Been issolated into the hotel, werent allowed to leave at all, which would have be difficult with 2 girls aged 4 and 6!
someone was sayin, think it was on the radio, that us brits have got it totally wrong when it comes to florida. its pretty hot all year round but the majority of brits seem to go smack bang in their hurricane season, when most of the floridians are doin everything they can to avoid the place
