Which CD deck do you prefer brid?

Is it not a pain in the arse having two different types?

Having two different decks is brilliant i think (for cd players) it kinda makes it interesting having to set things up in a different manner (pitch bending with buttons on the denon, pitch wheel on the pioneer) since the controls are different on each.... Keeps you on your toes i think.

I prefer the denon i have to say, the pioneer is a bit too 'fisher price' in the way you use it - Having said that its the industry standard so i would always say get a pioneer 800/1000 before you get anything else (in my limited opinion)

The denon just shines out as a sexier and more fun bit of kit though.

    - Sampler(s)
    - You can hot start from a stopped track (the pioneer has to be playing before you can use the hot starts)
    - Alpha track
    - Ejecting a disc while the track is playing from memory
    - the list goes on.....

One thing the denon DOESNT have is memory cards you can move between players, and the whole cue/loop memory thing isnt as simple as the pioneers is. So you can take a memory card with your tunes to another machine and every cd you play that you've previously set cue points and loop points on ... comes up automatically.

Pioneer is good but once you get past the first 20 minutes of using it, you kinda hit its limit.

    So... buy both :)

 I have had the EFX 500 for a few years now, I love it. Used to use it a whole lot more when I played techno. You can pull off some pretty  stuff using it.

I'm hearing good reports of the EFX1000  might make another purchase

I've seen the 1000s advertised at 900-1000 dollars
Apparently it's cos of the superior sound quality but that's a lot to pay I reckon
