Theres been a new prize anounced by an american company its called The American Space Prize or something. By 2010, if you have a commerial craft that can reach true orbital level (160km up l think) then you recive a hefty prize of $50, the company that lauching the prize expects to have its inflatable space habitats (Bigger than the international space station) launched into orbit by then and is hoping a company will come up with the means to transport them to the space hotels.

So by 2010 you should be able to for a holiday in space :D

yes it does its means that technology isn't just electrical equipment, vitamin pills are techology, construction is technolgy, the steam engine is technology but they don't have anything to do with electrics, do they.

I was just trying to get across that electrical techology isn't the only form of technology.

i agree - but the chap who started the thread, asking the question implied that he was talking about more of a gadget/electrical/lifestyle accessory.

whats with all the replys, can't really understand where your coming from mate what does it matter if dark energy doesn't effect us, the title of the thread isn't "what technological advancement have effected our lives in the last five years", secondly the internet shouldn't be included in this thread either because it's been aound longer than 5 years and that is what the title of the thread is as you stated.

Thridly why do you think i'm a "know it all" to be honest I'm not the most intelligent person in the world I'll admit it, nice to see people think I come across as intelligent though.
