ive been told from 2 seperate parties today of a rumour that crasher have bought the old odeon cinema to set up a north east club??

anyone able to confirm this as truth or bullshit??

Smells like BS. The building is apparently structurally unsafe. And why would they open one in a city with a very bad reputation for clubbing (I'm not meaning the clubs - I'm meaning the variety of clubs and the beer boy culture - Promise etc do very well to do so good in a city like this).

Is a shame - was really looking forward to av:eon there last year Got many 'triffic memories of watching Disney films there before I became so warped

all the nights at GC1 except for when they do the odd 'crasher' night or hed kandi are pretty much student nights or r'n'b anyways so they probably would do pretty well up here.

They still claim they are opening 10 venues across the country, and there are already GC2 signs in leeds apparently, as they have bought what used to be uropa.

So GC2 isn't in Liverpool:spangled: I think ColeTrickle is getting a bit mixed up with GC and the bars that Cream have opened!

they might not be able to put on nights any more which rival thier past glorys but if they are planning on buidling 10 clubs all of the republics standard then surely thats a good thing!

Just my own personal opinion... never been a fan of GC at all.

Plus if they're building 10 clubs - nah, I won't go into a rant about consumerism and capitalism as usual

haha i know what you mean but i assume other nights will be able to put nights on at GC venues as they do in sheffield so its not like its a GC night every night!
