London nightclubs are Terror Target for The Evildoers Fears over nightspot terror risk The Bali attack targeted a busy nightclub Police chiefs are "terrified" of a Bali-style terror attack on London's nightclubs, theatres and cinemas. The Metropolitan Police have set up a team to gather intelligence and give advice to pubs and clubs in an attempt to outwit would-be terrorists. Superintendent Chris Bradford told Jane's Police Review: "We have got to prepare these locations." But Scotland Yard stressed there was currently no intelligence to lead it to issue specific warnings to the public. In a statement on Friday, it said: "There is no specific intelligence of places, events or people in the UK that would lead us at the moment to issue specific warnings to the public." Biometrics call Supt Bradford, of the Met's clubs and vice unit, told Jane's Police Review officers were "really concerned" that one of the capital's nightspots could be targeted by terrorists. "If you have got 2,000 decadent Western youngsters in a dance club on a Saturday night, drinking, drugs [and] sex are all in there," he said. "If some sort of organisation wants to target a location, what better place to put a bomb?"
