The quote from the head hog was something along the lines of "I cant believe how people who want organically grown vegetables and demand farmer friendly coffee will then think nothing of snorting a grm of coke that has been WRAPPED IN BLOOD"

A lot of drugs started their lives in the medical profession.

Heroin is a trade name for morphine, which is used as a pain killer.
Amphetamines were used as diet pills.
Ecstacy was used for depression and in marriage counselling.
Cocaine is used as an anaesthetic.
Ketamine is used as an anaesthetic.

Please do not take all of the above as gospel, it's just as far as I understand it.

So, using the "it's used in hospitals so it must be OK" is a complete load of bollocks. What you get on the street is not of the same grade, for ANY drug. Did you know that pure heroin is less harmful to your body than alcohol? What you buy on the street obviously isn't!

The point is, it depends what the drugs are cut with, how pure they are etc. Which is one thing you will never know, and so are never truly safe with any drug.
