theres quite a few djs on here that get to play out regularly

jimmy, luke, mx, ness (loads more aswell)

i havent heard any of them play out and was just wondering...does anyone reckon any of them will make it big???

him and jimmy came to mind from what i've heard on the board and luke is a good producer which always seems to help djs careers...gonna have to get somewhere and see luke play so i can say aye i saw him before he was famous

I would definately say "LUKE TERRY" ... when it comes to Trance he has hid head firmly in place ...

And of course any other Dj on this board has the chance to make it big .. all it takes is a lot of time and commitment and a passion for what your doing .

im not sure most of the dj's on here are really trying to make it big tho. i know ive got no real interest in doing much more than im doing now, as long as im playing out regularly to ppl who enjoy what im playing and im enjoying doing it then im happy

if i had to say one that would make it big it would have to be luke

I think People Get Real have the strongest chance

Luke Probably has the best chance of being BIG. Considering he has already had about 4 record releases, and hes only 19.

IN hard dance PHIL COGAN (TOMMY VERCETTI on board) :
a couple of releases on AZTEC,
3 releases on 12 inch thumpers, a white label that tidy were sniffing around , a remix for lisa pin ups new label and a futrue top ten placing in ANDY whitby's next dj mag top ten

all thins eclectic : PEOPLE GET REAL.

then there will alway be others who just appear out of no where.

the thing is like popularity on the board or in newcastle is hardly
an indicator of popularity on the bigger stage

oh and SMURF is already massive in Europe on th gabba scene.

I dont think there are gonna be aNY new massive trance djs in the world, people will make it to a certain level like andy baggley as an example but the days of superstar djs are over imo

I DJ, i dont mouth off about it like some people on here and wouldnt - i havent yet given out any CD's tho i have played Vuzz @ Egypt Cottage once.

I am happy with the way that it is, if i had more time maybe i would be alot better but we cant have it all eh.

Its just pleasing when mates come round that we can all have a blend and enjoy the same music and same if i go somewhere too.

If we were all living in Sheffield some would already be playing to a wider audience.

Unfortunately tho, Newcastle ain't exactly the land of oppourtinuty when it comes to clubbing/DJ'ing.

Really impressed when we had him on at Habit. He needs to get a mix cd done tho!

For House/Tribal/Prog I really rate Ali Finlay and Scott Udberg and with a bit of luck they could break through.

Yup moving away from sheffield ruinerd my DJing career, i was playing 2 or 3 times a week in shef, man, leeds and playing with some big names a s soon as i moved to cambridge i was playing in shit clubs to small crowds and i lost my enthuseam....
