    leave leeds alone....

newcastle is known as the ''8th best place to party in the world" and it's had the reputation for ages... it's always been it's downfall - it's cheap-free-flowing-booze reputation... u can't deny that... mention newcastle nightlife to ANYONE elsewhere in the country and they all immediatley go ""AAhhhh the Bigg Market... and that nightclub boat!"

BBC not so long ago showed a repeated police series that showed violence on the streets due to drink & most of towns featured were from the south east the other towns featured were Swansea (REALLY ROUGH), Boro & Hartlepool.

Brid never thought I would see the day when you start sounding like a tabloid newspaper, always had your card marked as one of knowledgeable ones

    Im with Spence here.

These documentary things are always in places like Basildon, Dagenham, Swindon, Reading, as well as your usual Stockton (featured last night on BBC national news) and Middlesbrough.

Its not the big cities as such it seems, but these medium sized town like those listed above, and those Spence mentioned. Kind of 50,000 - 200,000 population type of places. Not sure why it should be that way.

Dont think its a northern / southern argument either way.

    sing it tom! good lad...

tis true this...the decision was very political. why make the rich richer and the poor poorer? newcastle did deserve some recognition though for all the developpment in the past 10years.

boat = stinks of shit, piss, blood, cum, whitey, sweat, and calvin club aftershave. still a good novelty to be clubbing on a boat tho.
