    0% Credit Cards

Anyone got one? Know much about them?

I need one, cos i need to borrow about £10k, and dont wanna pay any interest if i can help it. I should be able to pay it all back in 6-9 months time. Or if i cant, i assume i can just transfer the lot to another.

Are they easy to get? Or do you need some sort of super high credit rating?

You can get one as easily as any other CC. Try amex (as long as you rating is shit hot) :)

10k is an awful lot on a Visa Orbit. Like Ruth said, you probs wont get that straight away. Or you'd have to earn a lot of cash :p Not that Im saying you dont :angel2: You may have to get more thn one card, which will be a hassle.

o0o0o that is an awful lot... I would think that you would only be able to get like a 3k limit then they would probs put it up, probs might be easier if you got a loan hun :)

Will have a look at those sites. Cheers.

Id say i have a decent wage.

How do they view 'no credit history'? Its not good, but then its not bad either. I havent actually ever had a credit card, always just paid for stuff off my Switch, ie only spending money i actually have. Or is there other things they look at too?

No credit history is bad credit histroy tbh. They have nothing to go by. Switch doesnt count, cos you can only spend what you have. No history is one of the main causes of being turned down, unless ur a tit with ur cash :p

Just filled in a form for Mint. Said i could have £2750. :(

Assuming others will come out about the same, theres nowt to sop me having 3 or 4 cards is there? The form does ask though what other cards you have.

I also lied on it and said i was still living with my parents and had been at that address 14 years, cos someone told me you got a better credit rating from not having had loads of different addresses. Ive had 4 addresses in the last 4 years.

What you said about the address's is right. You probs did the right thing. And nothing stopping you from having more than one card, but like I said its a clart on. Plus, the more credit checks you have performed on you in a short period, actually brings ur scoring down abit. :(

but that is lying and if anything goes wrong and you have to claim on your protection (like you lose your job or summat) they will screw you.

nowt wrong with having loads of cards although if you apply for them all at once it will look dodgy to the copmpany and they might just refuse you. look up some handy infromation on here. Good luck :)

my hsbc visa's got a 17k limit... and thats a few steps up from your average credit card too... it depends on your credit rating, mines through the roof so i could probs get even more that that if i wanted...

my egg card is about a grand five now.. so doubtful you'll be able to get one for 10k...

    Re: 0% Credit Cards

You might get a higher limit if you get one through your bank, depending on your history with your bank and how long you have had an account with them.
